State Track and Field Highlights

The state track and field meet featured some great performances from athletes in the northwest suburbs.

The Hopkins boys won the class AA team title, with Wayzata third.

Wayzata’s girls team placed fifth.

Joe Fahnbulleh of Hopkins won the 200 meters and anchored the Royals’ 4 x 200 record setting relay.

Eli Hoeft of the Royals won the boys 1600 meters.

Hopkins 4 x 400 relay secured the team title by winning in the final event of the day.

Dante White of Wayzata emerged as long jump champion.

The Trojans 4 x 800 boys relay also placed first.
