State Meet Ahead for Track Stars

The state meet is ahead for a number of track and field standouts from the northwest suburbs.

Day two of the Section 6AA meet featured many strong performances by local athletes.

The Wayzata and Hopkins boys finished first and second respectively in the team competition.

Khalid Hussein of Wayzata won the 1600 and 3200 meter races over the two days of the meet.

King Allah of Hopkins won the high jump and triple jump.

The state meet is next Friday and Saturday at Hamline University.
