State Class AAA Boys Golf Round One Highlights
Sweltering temperatures and gusty winds greeted golfers for round one of the state class AAA boys tournament at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids.
No teams from the northwest suburbs are in the class AAA tournament, but several individuals played well in round one.
Derek Stendahl of Maple Grove shot a one-under par 71 and is tied for third, one shot behind the co-leaders.
Bryan Terhaar of Champlin Park and Charlie Moen of Benilde-St. Margaret’s shot 74’s and are tied for 16th place.
Carter Callan of BSM recorded a 75 and is tied for 22nd.
Max Wolf of Hopkins shot a 76 and is tied for 23rd.
Gavin Grahek of Maple Grove recorded a 77 and is in a group tied for 30th place.
