Stars Shine at Section 4AAA True Team Track and Field
Athletes from the CCX viewing area had some strong performances at the Section 4AAA True Team track and field meet.
The true team format is a coaches association run meet to reward teams with depth rather than a few strong individuals.
Jordyn Borsch of Maple Grove won the girls 200 and 400 meters and was second in the 100.
Laubenra Ben of Park Center beat Borsch in the 100 and then finished second behind her in the 200 and 400, while also winning the triple jump.
Adyson Kapitzke of Champlin Park won the shot put and discus.
Lindsey Young of Maple Grove won the 3200.
The Crimson girls won the 4 x 800 relay and as a team finished third behind St. Michael-Albertville and host Rogers.
On the boys side, Richlu Tudee of Champlin Park won the 100 and 200 and anchored the Rebels’ first place 4 x 200 relay.
Maple Grove won the boys 4 x 100 and 4 x 800 and finished third as a team, one spot ahead of Champlin Park.
Andover won the boys team title.
