Section 5AAA Cross Country Highlights
Several local runners and one local team advanced to the state meet with strong showings at the Section 5AAA cross country meet.
The Champlin Park girls team qualified for state as the runner up to Mounds View.
Abby Hibbs (2nd) and Vayda Foy (7th) of the Rebels cracked the top ten in the race.
Mounds View’s Taylor Isabel won the girls individual title.
Osseo’s Lex Davis and her sister Jules Davis placed 3rd and 4th. Jordan Ode of Maple Grove also advanced to state as an individual.
Mounds View’s Elliott McArthur won the boys title and helped the Mustangs to edge Roseville for the team title.
Osseo’s Cade Sanvik (5th) was the top local finisher and advanced to state.
Maple Grove’s Gannon Farrens (8th) and Cody Kryzer (12th) qualified for state.
Champlin Park’s Charlie Hibbs (11th) and Garrett Doty (13th) also advanced to state.
The state meet is next Saturday November 6 at St. Olaf College in Northfield.
