Section 5AA Track and Field Highlights
Highlights from Day 2 of the Section 5AA track and field meet.
Among the top performers was Park Center junior Laubenra Ben who anchored the Pirates’ winning 4 x 200 meter girls’ relay, won the 200 and 400 meter races and finished as runner-up in the triple jump.
The St. Michael-Albertville girls and Blaine boys finished with the most team points in the section. The Champlin Park girls placed third in the meet and the Rebels’ boys fourth as the top local team finishers.
The state meet is Thursday through Saturday at St. Michael-Albertville High School.
