Section 5AA Cross Country
The Section 5AA cross country meet was Thursday in Anoka.
A number of runners from the northwest suburbs qualified for state at the meet.
No local teams made the elite field, but several individuals will move on.
Maple Grove’s C.J. Young and Charles Caven, and Osseo’s Mackinon Mokoro qualified.
Champlin Park’s Connor Preston and Dontae Johnson advanced.
In the girls meet, Lex Davis and Gabriella Baltes of Osseo and Emilie Meyer of Totino-Grace qualified.
