Rogers Softball Knocks Off Maple Grove
The Rogers softball team broke open a scoreless game to beat Maple Grove 8-1 in the Section 5AAAA tournament.
The pitchers, Ava Dueck of Maple Grove and Grace Mammen of Rogers, kept it scoreless through six innings.
Rogers erupted for eight runs in the top of the seventh, sending 13 batters to the plate.
The Royals moved into the winner’s bracket final against Champlin Park.
Maple Grove meets Spring Lake Park in the loser’s bracket.
