Park Center’s Adalia McKenzie Wins Miss Basketball Award
Park Center senior Adalia McKenzie capped off a great high school career by winning the Minnesota Miss Basketball award for 2021.
McKenzie was named the winner at the Minnesota All-Star Girls Basketball series at Academy of the Holy Angels in Richfield Saturday afternoon.
The five finalists were announced at halftime of the second all-star game, and then McKenzie was named Miss Basketball.
McKenzie averaged nearly 28 points per game this season for the Pirates, and is the school’s all-time leading scorer.
McKenzie was unable to play in the all-star series due to an injury.
She is headed to the University of Illinois on a basketball scholarship.
