Park Center Tops Mounds View to Earn 5AAAA Finals Berth
The Park Center boys basketball team defeated Mounds View 66-57 to move into the title game of the Section 5AAAA tournament.
The Pirates led at halftime but fell behind early in the second half before coming back to defeat the second-seeded Mustangs.
Park Center (15-5) got 26 points from Braeden Carrington, 17 from Jalen Cook and 11 from James Parker.
Evan Kim led all players in scoring, netting 28 for Mounds View.
The third-seeded Pirates play at top-seeded Champlin Park for the section championship Thursday night at Champlin Park.
The Pirates lost twice to the Rebels during the regular season.
