Park Center Girls Basketball Rolls in Playoff Opener
The Park Center girls basketball team dominated in a 72-18 win over Irondale in the quarterfinals of the Section 5AAAA tournament Wednesday.
The Pirates are the number two seed for the tournament, while Irondale was seventh.
Jaliyah Diggs led a balanced attack with 17 points for Park Center, with Marian Alowonle scoring 12 and Tiana Loyd 11.
Park Center hosts third seed Mounds View in the semifinals Friday.
Champlin Park is at Maple Grove that night in the other semifinal in Section 5AAAA.
