Park Center Girls Basketball Beats Osseo

The Park Center girls basketball team jumped out to a 19-4 lead and never looked back on the way to a 62-46 win over rival Osseo.

The Pirates’ defense slowed Osseo in the first half, helping Park Center to a 39-21 halftime lead.

Osseo battled back to within 11 with six minutes left in the game but could get no closer.

Nyomi Crushshon was 14-for-14 at the free throw line and scored a game-high 21 points to lead Park Center.

Atlantis Brown had 13, and seventh graders Brianna Foster and Danasia Anderson each scored nine points off the bench for the Pirates.

It’s the first win for Park Center after losses to Chanhassen and Prior Lake.

Jayla Bennett had 13 points for Osseo, with Aalayah Wilson adding 12 and Jasia White 11.

The Orioles dropped to 1-1.
