Park Center Boys Basketball Escapes Osseo, 66-65
The Park Center boys basketball team edged Osseo on the road Friday night 66-65.
The Pirates led by ten at halftime and saw their lead get cut down to three at the eight-minute mark, but built it back up to double digits.
The Orioles made another run late in the second half and cut the deficit to one with a lay-up from Jaymeson Travis with two seconds left, but Osseo had no timeouts remaining and the clock ran out.
The Pirates were led by Casmir Chavis with 21 points. Ari Gooch (15 points), Jackson Fowlkes (12 points), and Temi Omotoyinbo (12 points) also scored in double figures.
Travis scored a game-high 23 points and De’Mari Larkins put up 15 for the Orioles. The Pirates are now 18-1 on the season with a 9-1 record in the Northwest Suburban Conference. Osseo drops to 12-6 and is 6-3 in Northwest Suburban Conference play.
