Park Center Boys Basketball Beats Eastview in State Semifinals
The Park Center boys basketball team had the last run in a back and forth second half to beat Eastview 61-56 in the state class AAAA semifinals.
After Park Center had the lead through the middle portion of the game, Eastview surged into the lead.
The Lightning built a 53-48 lead before Park Center put together a decisive 9-0 run to go back in front.
Casmir Chavis had 21 points and 5 assists and scored two clutch baskets down the stretch for Park Center.
Jackson Fowlkes had 13 points off the bench.
Jon Mekkonen scored 19 to lead Eastview.
Defending champion Park Center now faces a rematch with 2021 champion Wayzata in the AAAA championship game Saturday night at 8:00 at Target Center.
