Osseo Cross Country Teams Ready for Traditional Season
After a 2020 season which saw meets limited in teams and runners, the Osseo boys and girls cross country teams are ready for a more traditional season in 2021.
Numbers are up for the Orioles’ boys team and include top runners Cade Sanvik and Matt Oujiri. The Osseo girls return 11 of their top 12 runners from a year ago including sisters Lex and Jules Davis, and Maria Hoff.
Large invitational meets, which didn’t happen last fall because of the pandemic, are back on the schedule this season. One of those meets is the Osseo Invitational, scheduled for September 30th at Elm Creek Park Reserve.
A big fundraiser for the team each year is the Osseo Lions Roar 5K race on September 11th in Osseo. Pre-registration is required this year and a link to registration can be found here.
The Orioles open the season this Friday at the Rosemount Invitational.
