Osseo Boys Basketball Topples Maple Grove
The Osseo boys basketball team got a split of the season series with rival Maple Grove with a 69-53 win Thursday at Osseo.
After a slow start, the Orioles heated up later in the first half with guards Donald Ferguson and Benard Omooria each hitting two three-pointers.
The Orioles took a 31-28 lead into halftime.
The second half was mostly Osseo.
The Orioles bench outscored Maple Grove’s 24-0 in the win.
Josh Ola-Joseph scored 17 points to lead Osseo, followed by Omooria (13), Ferguson (12) and Lewis Cargeor (10).
Morgan Moore scored 19 to lead the Crimson, with Jon Haakenson adding 14 and Terence Anthony-Larmouth 10.
Osseo is now 7-6 this season, while Maple Grove fell to 8-5.
