Osseo Boys Basketball Takes Down Maple Grove in 5AAAA Semifinal
The Osseo boys’ basketball team scored the first seven points of the game and never trailed on the way to a 61-56 win over Maple Grove in the semifinals of the Section 5AAAA tournament.
De’Mari Larkins scored 26 points to lead the third-seeded Orioles (16-12) to their second win of the season over the second-seeded Crimson.
Osseo led by eight at halftime and Maple Grove never got closer than three points in the second half.
The Crimson (21-7) were led in scoring Tuesday by Raoul Vaidya (22 points), Henry Stang (16) and Edwin Dorbor (10).
The Orioles now meet top-seeded and defending state champion Park Center (25-2) for the section championship Friday at 7:00 pm at Rogers High School.
