Northwest Suburban Conference Track and Field Highlights
Perfect weather greeted athletes and fans for day two of the Northwest Suburban Conference track and field championship meet.
Osseo was third and Champlin Park fourth behind Blaine and Anoka in the boys team standings.
Osseo was the top local girls team, placing fourth. Blaine was the girls winner, too.
Among the top performers from the CCX viewing area:
Thenic Yantambwe of Champlin Park won the boys long jump; Alvin Thomas of Champlin Park won the boys 400 meters; Linton McPherson of Osseo won the boys 300 hurdles; Cade Sanvik of Osseo won the boys 1,600 meters; Hope Wells of Osseo won the girls 300 hurdles; Champlin Park’s girls won the 4 x 100 relay; and Maple Grove won the girls and boys 4 x 400 relays.
