New Coaches Lead Maple Grove Boys Lacrosse Into New Season
A new coaching staff is leading the way for the Maple Grove boys’ lacrosse team this season.
Kyle Ficken takes over as the new Crimson head coach after spending the past eight seasons at Rogers High School.
Maple Grove returns some good talent from a team that went 14-2 a year ago and finished as runner-up in Section 5.
Rory Scanlon and Tanner Brendon combined to score 57 goals a year ago and are both back. Ricky Peterson is another strong attack.
Joey Heisler and Jackson Bennett lead the defense while goalie Hale Farniok returns after playing every minute in net a year ago.
It’s a deep team that should win a lot of games this spring.
Maple Grove opens the season Thursday night at Centennial—the two teams tied for the Northwest Suburban Conference title last season.
