Maranatha Christian Academy Boys Basketball Crushes Providence Academy
The Maranatha Christian Academy boys basketball team raced out to a 39-16 halftime lead on the way to a 78-40 win over Providence Academy.
It was the season opener for both teams.
Jeremiah LaVelle scored 20 points to lead the Mustangs.
Bailey McDonald added 19, with Josiah Coleman (14) and Javory Purnell (10) also in double figures.
Maranatha plays at Holy Family Thursday. Providence is at Watertown-Mayer Thursday.
