Heritage Christian Academy Boys Basketball Beats Providence Academy
The Heritage Christian Academy boys basketball team won for the 19th time this season, beating Providence Academy 77-69.
The schools are part of the same co-op program in football in the fall so many of the players were teammates then.
Providence led for much of the first half, with sophomore Matty Schaffer hitting four three-pointers and scoring 14 points in the half.
Heritage rallied to lead by one at halftime, then took over early in the second.
They built a 14-point lead before a big Providence rally pulled them within a basket.
The Eagles held on for the win though.
Owen Haag had 22 points, Josh Sokeye 21 and Abu Tarawallie 15 for Heritage Christian.
Schaffer had 23 and George Jacobson 15 to lead Providence.
