Maple Grove Tops Armstrong in Section Boys Lacrosse
Ricky Peterson scored four goals while Tanner Brendon and Rory Scanlon added three apiece to lead the Maple Grove boys lacrosse team to an 11-7 win over Armstrong in the Section 5 semifinals Monday afternoon.
The Falcons led 3-0 after one quarter and 6-3 in the third quarter before Peterson scored all four of his goals in a row and Maple Grove netted eight straight overall to put the game away.
The Crimson (14-1) will face either Wayzata or Benilde-St. Margaret’s in the section final Wednesday night.
Armstrong finishes the season with a 12-3 record.
