Maple Grove Rolls Past Park in 6A Football Playoff Opener
The Maple Grove football team opened defense of its Class 6A state championship with a 53-21 win over Park of Cottage Grove.
Both Dylan Vokal and Ryder Skanson rushed for over 100 yards in the win.
Quarterback Caden Harney threw for one touchdown and ran for two more scores.
Late in the fourth quarter Crimson senior Ella Walz kicked a 19-yard field goal to become the first female in program history to score a point.

Maple Grove (7-2) now hosts Edina (6-3) in section play Friday at 7:00 pm. The Hornets have won five straight games.
