Maple Grove, Park Center Get Set for Section 5AAAA Girls Basketball Final
It is an all-District 279 matchup in the Section 5AAAA girls basketball final Thursday as top seed Maple Grove hosts sixth seed Park Center.
Park Center took a big halftime lead and then held off an Irondale rally for a 49-47 win in the semifinals.
Meanwhile Maple Grove crushed another District 279 team, Osseo, 82-36 in their semifinal.
Maple Grove is 25-2 and ranked number one in class AAAA.
A young Park Center team started slow this season and is 7-21 coming into Thursday’s game.
