Maple Grove Girls Volleyball Earns # 1 Seed for 5AAAA Tournament
For the first time in program history, the Maple Grove girls volleyball team is the top seed in their section tournament.
The Crimson, with a 26-3 record and a Lake Conference championship on their resume, is seeded first for the Section 5AAAA tournament.
Maple Grove has wins over the second through fourth seeds as well- Wayzata, Rogers, and Champlin Park.
The Crimson lost in five sets last season to Champlin Park in their bid to reach state for the first time.
Maple Grove hosts either Osseo or Park Center Thursday night in the tournament quarterfinals.
The semifinals and section final are next week.
