Maple Grove Girls Tennis Edges Wayzata
The Maple Grove girls tennis team pulled out a close 4-3 win over visiting Wayzata Monday.
The teams split the four singles matches, with Wayzata winning at number one and two and Maple Grove taking the third and fourth singles matches.
Maple Grove won at first and third doubles to secure the team win.
Two matches (third singles and second doubles) were three-set battles.
The win should be a key one for Maple Grove when it comes to seeding for the Section 5AA team tournament.
The Crimson and Trojans should be two of the top contenders in the section.
