Maple Grove Girls Soccer Wins Section 5AAA Final in OT
Keira Gill scored in the third minute of overtime to give the Maple Grove girls soccer team a 1-0 win over Spring Lake Park in the Section 5AAA championship game.
Maddie Nash’s shot on net was re-directed in by Gill for the only scoring of the night.
Diana Park finished with eight saves to post the shutout in net.
The Crimson (8-6-4) advance to the state tournament for the first time since their 2019 state championship season.
Teams in all classes will be seeded for the state tournament on Saturday.
