Maple Grove Girls Basketball Falls to Unbeaten St. Michael-Albertville
The Maple Grove girls basketball team fell on the road to St. Michael-Albertville on Monday night, 74-62.
The Crimson got off to a great start, leading the Knights 9-1 early in the first half.
STMA chipped away and eventually took the lead and extended it to 14 points at halftime, despite their leading scorer, Ja’Kahla Craft, going down with an injury early in the first half.
Maple Grove was paced in scoring by Jordan Ode with 21 points and Claire Stern adding 15.
STMA’s Cali Jahnke led all scorers with 24 points.
Maple Grove drops their record to 8-2 on the season. The defending state champion Knights remain perfect at 13-0.
