Maple Grove Football to Battle Lakeville South in State Semifinals

The Maple Grove football team puts its unbeaten record on the line Thursday when the 11-0 Crimson face 9-2 Lakeville South in the Class 6A semifinals.

The Cougars beat the Crimson 13-7 in last year’s Prep Bowl.

Eden Prairie and Rosemount play in the other 6A semifinal Friday.

Maple Grove is averaging nearly 40 points per game this season while the Cougars averaging just under 37.

South’s two losses have come against Eden Prairie and Rosemount.

Thursday’s game is scheduled to kick off at 7:00 pm.

The winner advances to the Prep Bowl on December 2nd.

Because of new media restrictions from the Minnesota State High School League the game will air ONLY three times on CCX1, Channel 799 on Comcast in the northwest suburbs, and at the same times on our website, ccxmedia.org.
