Maple Grove Football Resets with New Lineup
The Maple Grove football team is averaging 11 wins over the past five seasons. But a large senior class graduated, leaving the 2026 Crimson with several new varsity players.
On offense, Maple Grove has no returning starters for their season opener while four starters are back on defense: Defensive linemen Jason Albeck and Julian Cipala, cornerback TJ Williams, and safety Luke Smith.
The Crimson are confident though that they will again be one of the state’s best teams by season’s end.
Maple Grove (10-1 in 2025) opens the season at home September 3rd against Stillwater. The Ponies were 3-6 last season and lost to Maple Grove 37-17.
