Maple Grove Baseball Preps for Strong Season
The Maple Grove baseball team is still fairly young but has a lot of varsity experience returning, led by a strong junior class.
The Crimson enter the season ranked seventh in the class AAAA pre-season coaches poll.
They’ll have a good pitching staff and strong defense, with improving their hitting attack from last season being a primary goal.
Among the key players to watch: shortstop Kaden Harney, first baseman/pitcher Evan O’Dwyer, and catcher Connor Wihlm, all juniors; plus senior outfielder/pitcher Brody Berglin.
Maple Grove is opening the season Friday afternoon against Roseville on the artificial turf at Gleason Field.
