Local Teams Tee It Up at Preview Boys Golf Invitational
A handful of local CCX-area boys golf teams battled the elements Friday morning during the first round of the two-day Preview Invitational tournament.
Playing in rain, wind and cool temperatures players from 18 teams competed.
Cretin-Derham Hall leads after the first round with a team score of 301, four strokes ahead of Rosemount.
Among local teams Benilde-St. Margaret’s (308) is tied for third place, Maple Grove (310) is in sixth, Totino-Grace (319) in ninth place and Wayzata (335) sits in 14th place.
Ryan Stendahl of Maple Grove is top local individual after the first round with a one-over par score of 73, good for second place.
Round 2 begins Saturday morning at Edinburgh USA in Brooklyn Park.
