Local Squads Compete at Section 4AAA True Team Track
Osseo, Maple Grove, and Champlin Park were among the track and field teams battling at the Section 4AAA True Team meet at Elk River High School Tuesday.
Maple Grove’s girls placed third behind St. Michael-Albertville and Rogers, while the Champlin Park boys placed third behind Anoka and Andover.
April Watson of Maple Grove won the girls 800 and 1,600 meters.
Cade Sanvik of Osseo matched that feat, taking close races in the boys 800 and 1,600.
Champlin Park won the girls 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 relays, with the Maple Grove girls winning the 4 x 400.
Abby Hibbs of Champlin Park won the 3,200 meters.
Jayi Wilson of Champlin Park won the girls long jump.
Maple Grove’s boys won the 4 x 800 relay.
Henry White of the Crimson took the boys pole vault title.
Thenic Yantambwe of Champlin Park won the boys long jump.
