Local Golfers Burnham, Munneke Aim for Open
Local golfers Sarah Burnham and Megan Munneke took aim at a spot in the U.S. Women’s Open.
Burnham and Munneke are taking part in a sectional qualifier at Rush Creek in Maple Grove.
The winner in the 36-hole event earns a spot in the U.S. Open in South Carolina later in May.
Burnham is a former Wayzata High School and Michigan State standout.
Munneke played at Champlin Park and is currently a golfer at the University of South Dakota.
