Local Girls Play in Minnesota Showcase Golf Event
They didn’t get to play the high school season this spring because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Senior girls golfers from the class of 2020 did get to come together for the Senior Showcase Minnesota Junior PGA tournament.
The one-day, 18-hole girls event was held Wednesday at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids, one day after the boys competition.
Maple Grove resident Amy Burnham, a Wayzata High School player, tied for second place after shooting a one-over 73.
Anna St. Martin of Plymouth and Wayzata High School and Ellen Solem of Maple Grove and Osseo High School tied for 25th with 86’s.
Jaycee Rhodes of Eagan won the tournament, carding a 72.
