Local Alpine Skiers Advance to State
Several local Alpine skiers advanced to the state meet through qualifying at the Section 5 meet.
The Wayzata boys finished second as a team to advance.
In addition Josh Nelson from West Lutheran finished fourth to qualify as an individual.
Three girls from the CCX viewing area advanced: Marta Pendergast of Wayzata, Jenny Krey of Armstrong, and Eliza Polyak of Hopkins.
The state Alpine meet is next Wednesday at Giant’s Ridge in Biwabik.
