Izzy Ashburn and Badgers Prepare for TBA Big Ten Season
2019 Champlin Park High School graduate and University of Wisconsin sophomore Izzy Ashburn and her volleyball teammates are preparing for a Big Ten season they hope will happen– sooner or later.
Ashburn led the Badgers in ace serves as a freshman and finished second in the Big Ten in service aces per set and was third on the team in digs.
The Big Ten’s decision in August to postpone fall athletics left volleyball players like Ashburn, and former CPHS teammate and current Badgers’ teammate Sydney Hilley, to work on their skills through continued practice in Madison.
Ashburn helped lead Champlin Park to the 2018 state Class AAA volleyball title and was named Ms. Baden Volleyball in Minnesota.
