Hopkins Girls Finish 2nd, Armstrong Boys 5th at Bauman/Rovn Invitational
The Hopkins girls cross country team finished second at the Bauman/Rovn Invitational, hosted by the Royals.
The annual meet is named after long-time coaches in the Hopkins program- Ed Bauman and Jim Rovn, both now retired.
Hopkins’ junior Morgan Waechter won the girls race with a time of 18 minutes 35 seconds.
In the boys varsity race, Armstrong was the top local team finisher, placing fifth- just ahead of Maple Grove.
Crimson junior Lucas Capistrant finished second, coming in with a time of 16:11.
