Hopkins Girls Basketball Hungry for Another State Run
The Hopkins girls basketball team came one basket short of a state championship last year, falling to St. Michael-Albertville 71-70 in the class AAAA state final.
The Royals are using last season’s disappointing end as motivation heading into this year.
Hopkins only has one senior on their roster in Liv McGill, but McGill- a University of Florida commit- is one of the top players in both the state and country.
Alongside McGill, the Royals round out their starting five with Tatum Woodson, Lauren Hillesheim, London Harris, and Erma Walker.
Hopkins is 6-1 to start the season and as always features an intense pressure defense that leads to turnovers and transition offense.
