Hopkins Cross Country Racing for Success
The Hopkins girls and boys cross country teams are pushing for strong seasons this fall.
A strong summer of training that included an annual trip to Wyoming to run in the Bighorn Mountains helped propel the teams into the season.
The Hopkins girls were seventh at the state class AAA meet last season.
Now sophomores Sydney Drevlow and Daphne Grobstein placed second and third respectively individually last season as freshmen.
The Royals are currently ranked fifth this season in the latest state girls poll.
The boys have a strong team also but are in the same section as the teams that finished 1-2 at state last season, Wayzata and Minneapolis Southwest.
