Hopkins Boys Track Wins True Team Title
The Hopkins boys track team captured the state Class AAA True Team title Friday at Stillwater.
The Royals ended a six-year winning streak for Wayzata.
The Trojans placed second in the boys and girls meet.
Hopkins standout Joe Fahnbulleh won the 100 and 200 meter dashes.
Eli Hoeft of the Royals won the 3,200.
Wayzata’s Nicholas Hedlund won the high jump, and the Trojans won the 4 x 400 amd 4 x 800 boys relays.
Emma Atkinson won the girls 800 for Wayzata, and they also won the 4 x200 and 4 x 40 relays.
