Hopkins Boys Basketball Takes Down Maple Grove, Wins Fourth Straight
The Hopkins boys basketball team won their fourth game in a row, defeating Maple Grove at home 75-70.
The Royals were led in scoring by Jayden Moore, who put up 18 points. Xavier Frelix also added 16 points and Tre Moore chipped in 13.
Max Iversen scored a game-high 25 points for Maple Grove. Baboucarr Ann (14), Jack Thelen (13), and Henry Knutson (13) also scored in double figures.
With the win, head coach Ken Novak reached the 1,000 career win milestone and Hopkins is now 7-3 on the season. Maple Grove is also now 7-3 on the year after the loss.
The win was the 1000th in the career of head coach Ken Novak, Jr.
