Hopkins Boys Basketball Coach Ken Novak Jr. Wins 900th Game
Hopkins boys basketball coach Ken Novak Jr. reached a big milestone Tuesday, winning his 900th career game as a coach.
Novak’s Royals rallied to beat Chaska 59-54 in overtime in a matchup of top five teams in class AAAA.
Novak becomes the third boys basketball coach in Minnesota history to reach 900 wins, joining Bob McDonald and Bob Brink.
He has coached Hopkins since the 1989-90 season, winning eight state titles.
Novak also took Blaine to the state tournament prior to coming to Hopkins.
