Hopkins Baseball Earns Top Seed for Section 6AAAA Tournament
Defending champion Hopkins is the top seed for the Section 6AAAA baseball tournament.
The tournament starts Friday at the home field of high seeds.
The Royals won the Lake Conference title this season and carry a 17-3 record into the playoffs.
St. Louis Park, one of three teams to beat Hopkins this season, is the number two seed.
The Orioles are followed by Minneapolis Southwest, Edina, Wayzata, and Armstrong.
In first round games Friday, Hopkins hosts Minneapolis Washburn; Wayzata plays Edina at Braemar; Armstrong plays Southwest at Parade Stadium; and St. Louis Park hosts Minneapolis South.
The tournament continues with second round games Saturday.
