Heritage Christian Baseball Shuts Out West Lutheran, 4-0
In a Minnesota Classic Athletic Association match-up, the Heritage Christian baseball team shut out West Lutheran 4-0 at Gleason Fields.
Griffin Booms got the bats going for the Eagles in the bottom of the first, hitting a solo home run to left field. Booms finished the day with two RBI’s.
Both teams made great catches to end the inning with bases loaded. The Warriors’ Carter Anderson laid out for a diving catch in left field in the bottom of the second and the Eagles’ Aaron Palmer snagged a catch at shortstop to end the inning in the top of the third.
Heritage Christian manufactured a total of three runs in the bottom of the fourth and fifth innings.
Then in the top of the seventh, the Eagles closed the game with a double play with bases loaded.
Austin Madler was the winning pitcher for Heritage Christian, going six innings and only allowing one hit and recording nine strikeouts.
The Eagles are now 12-3 on the season, the Warriors drop to 5-10.
