Golfer Sarah Burnham’s U.S. Open Bid Falls Short
Golfer Sarah Burnham’s bid for a spot in the U.S. Open fell short.
The former Wayzata High School and Michigan State golfer tied for 11th at a sectional qualifier.
The 36-hole event was held at Burnham’s home course at Rush Creek in Maple Grove.
Only the winner earned a spot in the U.S. Open.
Burnham is competing on the LPGA tour and plans to play in a tournament in Virginia this month.
