Gerads, Hoeft Help Lead Gophers Track and Field
Champlin Park High School graduate Allison Gerads helped lead the University of Minnesota women’s track and field team to the Big 10 indoor title over the weekend.
Gerads won the pentathlon, earning ten team points. She tied for first in the pentathlon high jump and won the pentathlon long jump.
She was also third in the open long jump.
The Gophers men’s team placed fifth, paced by Owen Hoeft.
The Golden Valley native and Hopkins grad won the conference title in the mile.
Hoeft ran a personal best 4:01.90 in the prelims, the fifth best time in the event in program history.
