Football Training Camp Report: Benilde-St. Margaret’s
The CCX Sports football training camp report today features Benilde-St. Margaret’s.
The Red Knights have a new coaching staff this season as Sean McMenomy takes over as head coach.
McMenomy was very successful at DeLaSalle, and also coached at Minneapolis Southwest and recently in Oregon and North Carolina.
His father was a Benilde graduate so he grew up hearing about the school.
The Red Knights were 4-3 in the COVID-19 shortened season in 2020.
They don’t have many starters returning but there is promising talent.
Linebacker/running back Ryan Sever, guard/defensive tackle Daniel Porisch, and wide receiver/safety Brady Wine are among the leaders.
Watch for tight end/defensive end Antonio Fondren, running back Luke Fredin, and quarterback Jamarrius Courtney, too.
Benilde opens the season at home Friday against Irondale.
