Cooper Baseball Falls to Richfield
The Cooper baseball team couldn’t slow Richfield’s offense and the Hawks fell to the Spartans 21-3 in five innings Friday.
After Richfield took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first, Jaxon Howard answered with a two-run homerun to righfield to tie the game 2-2 after an inning.
The Spartans erupted for nine runs in the second to go up 11-2. They scored two in the fourth and eight more in the fifth to put the game away.
