Cooper Baseball Beats Brooklyn Center
The Cooper baseball team earned its third win of the season, beating Brooklyn Center 7-1 in a game shortened to five innings by rain and lightning.
Brooklyn Center took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, only to see Cooper score five times in the bottom of the inning. All seven Cooper runs scored on wild pitches or passed balls.
Cooper didn’t have a base hit in the game but drew seven walks, were hit by two pitches, and reached base on errors three times.
Cooper pitcher Owen Vetter struck out eight in five innings for the win.
